Organization Name: Samoa Recycling and Waste Management Association (SRWMA)

Overview: SRWMA ia a Non Government Environmental Organisation set up in 2017 to address problematic waste that ends up in our landfill and our oceans, We work closely with Ministry of Environment, communities, youth groups, organisations, and private sector to promote the "3R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) plus Return" in their villages, workplaces and within their homes.

Recycling Activities:

• 3million single use plastic bottles for bottle to bottle.

• Recycling School Competition to promote "3R's plus Return".

• Collected 200,000 liters of Waste oil for recycling overseas.

• Implemented "Cero Waste Glass" project. Collected more than 700 tons of grasses and turned them into sand or used such as road making etc.

• Collected 30 tons of electronic waste.

• Hosting "Trashion Show" to raises awareness on the waste, Beach clean-up.

• Distributed 52 Recycling Station out in the Public.

• Launched the first Women of Waste Samoa (WOW) chapter in the pacific to inspire, empower and encourage more women in the waste sector.

• Implemented SRWMA inclusive Green Job Scheme, where we employ people with physically challenged, youth and women.
